Blackbird Surfboards
Tim Crozier, owner and shaper for Blackbird Surfboards, is a master craftsman that still shapes surfboards by hand. Slowly a fading art form, I was honored to document a day in the life of a master surfboard shaper. My focus was to tell the story of a master, his tools, and his zone.
Tim and I have been friends for many years. My current surfboard rack is full of surfboards he’s shaped for me over the years. You can find his boards at small boutique surf shops, and also big companies like Hansens and Surfride.
